You've Done Well, Young Grasshopper

When Mike Adams came aboard as Art Intern, we had no idea about his delicious past. Several years back, while he was still in high school, Mike started Eddie's Energy Bars in his parents' kitchen. And they've taken off.

With one stove, one mixer and a whole load of tasty goodness, Mike and his folks crank out dozens of delectable preservative-free bars each week. When he's not being flogged with work by our art director, he's busy managing his company and rocking a 4.0 GPA from his dorm room at Bryant College in Rhode Island. He's done a helluva job. Eddie's Energy Bars have been sold in 31 states. Yes, Eddie's have sold in more states than Magic Hat, and they're made in a 200 square foot kitchen in Richmond, Vermont. Mike and the fam were recently profiled on the New England Cable News network and he has a sick write-up in the most recent issue of Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the 100 brilliant companies of 2009.
