The trio of 20-year-old Londoners The xx will be taking what Pitchfork writer Andrew Gaerig calls a "predominantly slow, furtive pop music, mostly about sex" to the French Legation Museum in Austin, TX on March 18th for a South by Southwest shindig put on by Other Music and Dig for Fire. The xx have been enjoying their growing legion of fans since the release of their not-so-freshman sounding album "xx" last year. They'll be hitting Austin amid a full spring of sold out shows across the US and Canada, ready to move the masses.
The Lawn Party, presented by Babelgum, pouring Magic Hat, will run for two days (March 18th and 19th) and will also feature Dum Dum Girls, Black Prairie, Thurston Moore and Talk Normal, plus 19 other bands. For more information on how to catch these shows and to download some great tunes, be sure to visit Other Music.
