Guess Who's Black...Black Again

Howl! Our inner void-warming black-as-night lager started going out the door just a couple of weeks ago. If you're not familiar with Howl, it's our take on the traditional German schwarzbier, or "black beer." The first schwarzbiers were brewed in the Saxony region of German way back in the 14th century. It's a style that's withstood the test of time, and for good reason: it's delicious. 

Howl is brewed with Pale Carafa, Cara Munich 120L and Crystal 80L malts, along with Apollo and Hallertaur hops. It has a modest bitterness, at 32 IBUs, and weighs in at 4.6% ABV. Howl is highly sessionable and available in the Winterland Variety 12-Pak as well as on its own in 12- and 6-packs. As always, consult the Sip Code Locator before heading out to the store.
