Jen's Good times Turkey Chili

I make this chili year-round for big family parties and for weekday meals.

The fruity quality of #9 goes great with the BBQ and Curry powder flavors.
The chili is so rich, you don't eve know that you are missing beef.

Every time I make this recipe, people end up licking the bowl.
From my twin toddlers to my Uncle Tom, who is older than dirt, it is a hit.

The Hubinator and I visited your brewery on our honeymoon. We bought a growler of St. Goot's, still wish you had continued that one. Magic Hat is our "house" beer, we always have a 6pack (or two) of #9 or Circus Boy here, and one to bring to parties.
Ingredients3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan
2 1/2 pounds ground turkey (99% lean*)
1/2 tablespoon dark chili powder
2 tablespoons taco seasoning blend,
1 tablespoon Curry powder
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
2 large peppers, any color combination, red, green, purple, yellow or orange, chopped
1 bottle Magic Hat #9 wrestled from the hands of your husband
1 cup tomato sauce ( I use homemade)
1/2 cup Dinosaur Barbecue sensuous slathering sauce
2 cups frozen corn kernels, optional
1 can beans , optional too.
Note - *If using 95% lean or lower meat, omit oil.
Cooking InstructionsAdd oil, onions and seasonings to an eight-quart sauce pan or stew pot over medium heat.
Slowly add turkey. Cook until turkey is consistently tannish-brown.
Add peppers, corn, beans, BBQ sauce, beer and tomato sauce, turn heat down to simmer until peppers are soft, or whilest you enjoy your company and your own bottle of #9.

Serve with chips, grated cheese and guacamole, for your guests, or just hoard it all to your self.
